Whether I like it or not (and I do not like it), my plan this weekend is to unpack and organize in the new house as much as humanly possible.  I'm desperately trying to come up with manageable systems but my type A personality is sabotaging me around every corner by trying to come up with perfect solutions and places for everything.  Turns out, there is no perfect in moving.  The goal is to survive.  While I think I've come up with a few good ideas, I've finally realized there is a chance I put the cutting boards where it would make more sense to put the baking dishes.  And that's gonna have to be okay.  Hope your weekend is substantially less neurotic than mine :), enjoy the links!

We're in Virginia (the state) with Virginia (the puppy) this week having such a delightful time.  Little Miss sure loves her namesake and all her family here!  There's quite a bit on the agenda for this weekend from gymnastics with Ava to a quick trip to Jersey for our very first bridal shower.  Spending time with both our families is such a wonderful treat so we're soaking up every second!  Hope there's smooth sailing ahead for you and yours…enjoy the links!

1) A fun weekend visit with my cousin and his darling fiancé.

2) the three month mark to our wedding!  and

3) officially doing some damage unpacking at our new house.

Well…through no fault of my own, I've turned into a crazy dog lady.  In addition to our new puppy Virgina, I'm watching my parent's dogs for a few weeks and so far it's been a trip.  Wonderful!  But a trip.  Truth be told, there was some chaos at first but we're all settling down into a lovely little routine and I love all three of them to an almost embarrassing degree…they have a lovely little corner of my heart.  Hope your weekend is happy as can be!  Let's catch up Monday…enjoy the links!

Happy Valentine's Day!  It sure is a great day to be alive.  It occurred to me today that this is the only Valentine's Day I'll ever be a fiancé…and that I'll never be a "girlfriend" again…and that by this time next year I'll have been married for 8 months!  Crazy stuff, ladies and gents.  I'm so thrilled to get to spend this and every Valentine's Day with Davey but no worries, I won't get all mushy on you (though I do hope every single one of you has or finds someone you love as much as I love him).  Have a wonderful night, an excellent weekend and enjoy the links!

I've been hunkered down in the Virginia cold for the last few days (though I'll probably be begging for weather in the 50's in a few months which is pretty depressing).  That being said, I sure am having a blast hanging out with Davey's family and getting ready for his brother's wedding this weekend.  Last weekend's Savannah wedding was more than lovely and Danielle, the bride, was stunning.  I mean...just...crazy beautiful.  I'll have to get my hands on a couple pictures to show you soon.  Have such a great weekend and enjoy the links!

I made my maiden voyage to Chicago this weekend and boy am I ever psyched to be here!  I've heard so many wonderful things about this good 'ol windy city and I can't wait to see them all proved true.  I'll fill you in on a few highlights next week.  Speaking of travel, I'm gearing up to be all over the place for the next month...I'm heading back to Nashville Monday morning, then down to Savannah on Friday, looping up to Virginia for a week the following Monday, then a week in Nashville, followed by a week in Jersey.  Living out of a suitcase, here I come!  Hectic as it may be, I'm actually really looking forward to it...so much excitement on the horizon.  Hope your weekend is incredible and you enjoy the links!

The last few weeks have been so crazy...I've bounced back and forth between Jersey, Virginia, Miami, Nashville and of course Italy.  Crazier still, it looks like things won't be slowing down anytime soon.  All this travel has me feeling extremely thankful and weirdly reflective (sometimes there's just nothing to do on an airplane but think).  I have the most vivid memory from not too long ago of feeling like my life was so stagnant and monotonous...like nothing exciting was ever going to happen.  I think if you're honest, you'd say you've fallen into that same trap- the one that says right now is forever.  Maybe you're stuck in that trap now.  But truth be told, right now is a blip!  A vapor!  A tiny piece of a very big puzzle.  I'm far from having accomplished everything I'd like to but I know things are better today than they were yesterday and I bet they'll be better still tomorrow.  Matter of fact, I know they'll be better tomorrow cause I'm heading out to spend the week in Myrtle Beach with Davey and his phenomenal family.  I'll be posting and working from the beach so it's business as usual here next week, I'm just exchanging my desk and pencil skirt for a towel and bathing suit in the best trade ever.  Enjoy the links and have a wonderful weekend!

We're almost halfway through July.  Can that even be right?  There's more than a few weeks of sunshine left to be enjoyed so I'm not ready to go into mourning just yet, but seriously- what is happening?  While I work on pumping the summer breaks I hope you get busy soaking up all this fabulous season has to offer...farmers markets and movies in the park and all the other stuff your gal pals love and the men in your life tolerate if they're married to you, dating you or want to date you.  Enjoy your weekend (& the links)!

I've got a touch of a bittersweet thing going on at the moment.  My BFF and her husband are putting on their fourth annual Rendezvous Conference in Miami and it's the first one I've ever missed!  Such a bummer, right?  At the same time, I'm quite psyched about the work-related activities I've scheduled for this weekend so the silver lining is 1) at least I'm not missing out in vain and 2) how many people can actually even say that with a straight face?  Not many I imagine.  Have such a wonderful, restful couple of days and let's catch up Monday.  Enjoy the links!

It's possible that I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.  In fact, that definitely happened.  But somewhere around my second cup of coffee things starting looking up...maybe it was the coffee itself (the power of coffee is remarkable) but my money is on the gang that delivered it (my brother and cousins).  At any rate, there's nothing like coming out of a pointless bad mood to make you realize how ridiculous your bad mood was in the first place.  There are so many delightful things to be thankful for and I've all of a sudden found myself acutely aware of them.  It's nice.  Here's hoping your weekend is filled with gratitude and smiles (and maybe a pool...I don't know about you but I'm currently on the hunt for one to lounge by).  Enjoy the links!
