I’ve nearly recuperated from our weekend in New York City…we walked many blocks, ate much more than we should have and were blown away by some really beautiful design ideas. It was a brief but lovely fling with city life. We did our best to be your eyes and ears at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, there was so much to experience and we didn’t want you to miss out on a thing! So as not to overwhelm you with our discoveries, we’ll break things down for you over the next few days. For starters, here are some of our favorite finds:
What we loved about it:
Each of these one of a kind pieces are a carefully arranged combination of reprocessed lumber and recycled furniture collected from the curbs of Brooklyn. What a trendy and beautiful transformation...we talked about this piece all day.
What we loved about it:
From the balance of simplicity and grandeur to the unexpected bright splash of color- this room by Turkish designer, Eren Yorulmazer, was fabulous in every sense of the word.
What we loved about it:
Art Addiction offered hundreds of large scale photos printed on a sleek acrylic material, affixed to an invisible mount to create a floating effect. We checked out their website, they’re surprisingly affordable too!
What we loved about it:
To call Mingo Design LLC a landscaping company would sort of be like calling Luciano Pavarotti a singer...while the description fits in the most technical sense of the word, it just doesn’t quite do justice to the described. They specialize terraces, residential homes, rooftop gardens and our favorite-“living walls”.
