April Showers

Yesterday’s weather was a beautiful surprise.  According to the weatherman, however, the next few days will be a little more true to April’s rainy reputation.  Although stormy weather is far from my favorite forecast, I try to remind myself rain really is a gift…even when it messes up my hair and leaves me with sopping wet feet.  We went on a search for rain gear so pretty it would have us excited about even the gloomiest of skies.  Here’s what we found:

Umbrella Stands

We weren’t initially sure whether this brass umbrella stand from Excellent Accents was better suited as a holder or piece of art.  It’s just under $110 which is actually a pretty reasonable price.  I mean look at it!  It’s gorgeous!

We found this
ceramic owl umbrella stand on Amazon for right at $140.  It’s got a very trendy look to it and would look perfect in a vintage inspired or shabby chic home.

This
Blue Toile Umbrella Stand from Horchow is just under $100.  It’s classic blue and white fine china-esque print gives it an elegant, ornamental feel and each stand is painted by hand.

Umbrellas

We love the shape and color of this Bella Pagoda Mint Green Umbrella.  It’s almost $100...a little steep for an umbrella, but classic from top to bottom.

The print of this
Marimekko Ruusupuu Umbrella is dainty, bright, and perfect for spring.  At $40 it’s not too pricey either.

This
Peacock Folding Deluxe Umbrella is a cheap but fashion forward option.  I’m pretty partial to peacock feathers, and at just $30 I might just have to order this one myself.

Doormats

Doormats are a great way to keep rain and mud where it belongs, outside the house.  Welcome your guests with a monogramed mat, like this one from Frontgate.  Depending on what size you choose, you’ll end up spending between $80 and $120.  Add a single initial free of charge for a personal touch.

This
Cleanscrape Welcome Mat is made of 100% recycled tire scraps.  It’s less than $30...plus you get the added advantage of knowing you’ve done something good for the environment.

Isn’t this
Tulip Doormat lovely?  It’s about $35...a great price for something so stylish and functional.
